Frances Rawson – Flower Farmer & Florist

Frances runs Clodhopper Blooms in Cumbria. She create wedding flowers, funeral/sympathy flowers and locally delivered bouquets using only British grown flowers, the majority of which she grows herself in Kirkby Stephen.

We worked together 1:1 in 2022 and Frances has also been a group programme member in Believe & Achieve back in 2021.

Here’s what she has to say about me, coaching and the whole experience:

“I came to coaching as I felt a bit lost, and had no one outside of the flower industry to talk business with. I wasn’t quite sure where I or the business was heading and thought it was better to get help earlier rather than later!

The process was really interesting, as I wasn’t sure what to expect. Being headed in the direction of mindset work and setting goals was a very new thing for me, and although it’s taken a lot of thinking about it was really valuable and has changed my way of thinking and looking at decisions in my business. Sarah was very kind and patient throughout our sessions together and afterwards too, and is a good listener.

The best things about being coached and mentored by Sarah was having someone to ask opinions of and work on approaching and dealing with clients. The tip for emailing wedding clients after the event and thanking them was simple but genius, as they mostly email me back and tell me how happy they are, which has helped with my confidence!

I really gained from having the tools to see how mindset works, and to be aware of what is an opinion and what is a fact, either from someone else or from in my own head.

Sarah is down to earth, straight forward and compassionate. Coaching with her would be beneficial to someone like me who is new to being self employed, or someone working on a project and trying to reach a target or goal – or someone who is just not quite sure where they are headed!”
